The night of October 7, 2023, was a fun-filled event to celebrate the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, the kids we serve, and our friends and supporters. We feasted on Habit burger meals, held live and online silent auctions, drew the winner of the Wine Wagon raffle, watched performances from the Stars of the Club - our very own Club members, and offered opportunities to support the Club and the kids we serve.
The evening was filled with inspirational moments, including remarks by America's Got Talent host and actor Terry Crews. Mr. Crews encouraged us all to invest in our youth and the community while recalling his own positive experiences participating in after-school programs as a child in Flint, Michigan. Additional memorable speakers included BGCP's 2023 Youth of the Year, Kafshi B., and Willard Elementary School Principal and former Club parent Maricela Brambila. Both shared their personal stories about the impact that the Club has had on their lives and in the community.
On this incredibly special night, we raised over $310,000 for life-changing programs for kids and teens in the greater Pasadena community. We deeply appreciate all those who continue to support this event year after year and those of you who attended for the first time. The Club is needed more than ever as we continue to expand and go deeper in helping our members in all aspects of their lives
Black Tie & Burgers was held this year at a private residence in the Caltech area of Pasadena, and it was a beautiful night filled with fun, laughs, and generosity.
Very special thank you to the Black Tie & Burgers Committee and its Chair, Melina Montoya, for planning this beautiful 15th Black Tie & Burgers!

October 4 at 5 pm: Silent Auction opened on GiveSmart
October 7: Black Tie & Burgers! Our program was as follows:
- 6:00 pm: Cocktail Hour Reception, Silent Auction, and Wine Wagon Ticket Sales
- 7:10 pm: Dinner, Club Member Performances, Keynote Speakers, Live Auction, "What Talent Do You Want To Bring To the World" video, Opportunities to support the Club, Drawing of the Wine Wagon Raffle
- 9:15 pm: Silent Auction Closed
- 9:20 pm: Dancing Under the Stars
